Materials at indicative banded rates (fabric wastage 3%, trims 2%), a making charge banded by garment and order size, testing and commercial costs, and our handling — computed exactly the way our merchandisers cost real orders, because it runs the same tested engine.
What’s indicative
Public rates are curated bands, refreshed with the market — never live negotiated prices, which move with fabric bookings, colours, sizes and season. Your number here is a serious starting point, not a quotation.
What happens next
A real quotation comes from a merchandiser against current rates, usually within 48 hours of an RFQ. The “Turn this costing into an RFQ” button carries everything you built here with it — no retyping.
Common questions
Why is the price a range, not one number?
Because honest costing is a range until fabric is booked and specs are frozen. The low end is the computed estimate at banded rates; the spread covers normal movement in fabric, trims and colours.
What does FOB include?
Free On Board: the finished, packed garment delivered to the port of origin — materials, making, testing, commercial costs and export handling. Freight, insurance and duties at destination are not included.
Can I price a garment that isn’t listed?
Yes — pick the closest garment and rebuild its components, or add your own component lines with your own rates. The engine doesn’t care what it’s costing; the templates are just head starts.
My target price came out “below materials”. Now what?
It means the spec, not the making charge, is what has to move — a lighter fabric, a simpler trim set, a bigger order. That’s exactly the conversation a merchandiser is for; send it as an RFQ and we’ll come back with options.
